Ribosomes: Manufacturing for growth
PRODUCTION |
Ribosomes are attached to the endoplasmic reticulum. They are very small. Ribosomes are the sites where the cell assembles enzymes and all other proteins according to genetic instruction. Ribosomes translate RNA into proteins. Sometimes they operate in isolation, but often they are linked in a transfer and delivery setup known as the endoplasmic reticulum (ER). Scientists speculate that ER transports the proteins made by the ribosomes around the cell. |
